Vizlib: Qlik Sense Visualization Library

Using extensions in Qlik Sense can add a lot of value to your analyses. They let you add new functionality and data visualizations that aren't available in Qlik Sense by default. However, there are also risks involved in using extensions. Some extensions aren't tested extensively, which can lead to bugs, or they aren't maintained by the developer, which can mean the extensions stop working in newer Qlik Sense releases. That's why E-mergo recently became a partner of Vizlib. Vizlib is a UK-based company that builds extensions for Qlik Sense in the area of functionality and visualization. These extensions are available as a bundle under the name Vizlib Library. Well-known extensions include, for example, the Sankey Chart and the Story Timeline.

Qlik Technology Partner

Vizlib is a Qlik Technology Partner. This means the visualizations and components in the Vizlib Library are developed in collaboration with Qlik, or approved by Qlik after development. This ensures the Library will keep working in new releases of Qlik Sense as well.

Qlik Sense Extensions

Vizlib was founded in London by 3 experienced Qlik experts. One of the reasons they started the Vizlib Library was to help QlikView users convert to Qlik Sense. A number of QlikView functionalities and visualizations aren't available in Qlik Sense by default, such as the Advanced Text Object, Container, Calendar, and the (Straight) Table. The Vizlib versions of these options, which are standard in QlikView, often come with the addition of extra functionality. For example, the Vizlib Calendar offers more styling options and the data range picker is much easier to use. The Vizlib Library is therefore described as user-friendly and highly customizable.
