Qredits has been helping entrepreneurs who can't get financing from a bank with (micro)credit, training and coaching since 2009. The Business Intelligence department previously had its hands full with adjustments to reports. The search for a more efficient way of managing data led them to E-mergo, who helped implement TimeXtender.
“With TimeXtender, our departments get hands-on with data themselves”
“One of the reasons to look at an alternative data warehouse was the search for simplicity. In the past, we used to build calculations in our reporting tool, because the data warehouse was so complicated. That's really not where they belong, because then you have to make adjustments over and over again. If you build a level earlier, you can reuse the calculations. We periodically create a snapshot of the loan data. That's one of our most important management tools, so it's important that the logic underneath is always the same everywhere. There are no more errors in the foundation now, so we also no longer need to spend time figuring them out,” says Louis Derks, BI specialist at Qredits.
The Result
Dashboards
Because the data in TimeXtender is correct at every layer, it's easier for Qredits to build dashboards.
Maintenance
TimeXtender's data warehouse solution makes maintenance easier to carry out.
Data-driven organization
Qredits notices that colleagues are getting hands-on with data more quickly themselves. This way, as an organization, they are slowly moving towards data-driven working.
“Moreover, we notice that they get hands-on with data more themselves. Previously, for example, we often got questions about the number of loans in a particular sector. Now colleagues from the Risk Management or Marketing department pull a data set from TimeXtender themselves and turn it into a dashboard.”
